News reported that Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed a new ultra light material. It could bear 1.6 million times weight of itself. While the weight and density are similar, the strength is 10 thousand that of Aerogel material.
This project of new ultra light material is started and invested by a alliance of the advance research projects agency and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
